I am mad. Make that CRAZY about elastic thread and smocking! I have made both my girls smocked sundresses from a pattern found in the Heather Ross “Weekend Sewing” book. Heather was also very nice to post an adult version on her blog. So, I made one for my mom too. I am now getting set to make myself one.

It is! My machine made some crazy sounds while I was using it, but it works. The trick is to hand wind the bobbin with the elastic so that it is not too tight or too loose. Good luck.
