Hope you are feeling better Elise and I would love to get together and reminisce about our old teenage fashion dreams. Believe it or not, I was upset to find out at the age of 15 that fashion models had to be at least 5′7″ tall. Being only 5′3″ with no chance of getting any taller I was heart broken. I then decided that what I really liked was the clothes, so instead of wearing them for the camera, why not make them!

That’s so cool Sadie! I’m going to look for a copy of the book too. Your post reminded me of various phases of my childhood and teen years too – I was always trying to replicate Seventeen, for very little money I’ve been meaning to get back to you on e-mail too – we’ve been sick over here, but would love to see you all when we’re well again!

Sadie: The Academy has a great fashion department now. I think you would really benefit from coming to San Francisco and studying on site. Although the on-line classes are good. You don’t need to take the whole program either just what interests you. I think it’s exciting that you are even thinking about becoming a designer.
