I made myself another Shearwater Kaftan. This time out of some yummy Amy Butler rayon challis. I will be taking this one to the Sewing Summit! If you live in Denver and want to learn to make one for yourself; come take my class at Fancy Tiger Crafts. Oh, and those are my new (vintage [...]

Magical little dress I made for friend’s baby I hope to meet soon. I used Birch Organic Fabric and Make It Perfect Little Wonderland dress pattern.

I finally did it. After two (or more) years of dreaming about designing and printing my own fabric on Spoonflower I did it! The fabric is a collaboration with my husband the graphic designer. He did my blog design as well. I can’t wait to print some more!

The Shearwater Kaftan by Make it Perfect is the perfect summer top for a cool summer night.

I can’t get enough of Sew Liberated’s Schoolhouse Tunic pattern. This time I made a sleeveless version for summer. I fell in love with Jay McCarroll’s Habitat fabric and I thought it would make a super cute tunic.

Happy summer! Here is an update on some sewing projects that took place this past spring. Clockwise from top left: Japanese Vestlette 1, Japanese Vestlette 2, Charm Pack Bag, Burda Style silk dress, another Schoolhouse Tunic

Here is the Vintage Vogue V1172 that I made for the lovely Miss Bailey to wear to prom! This was by far the hardest garment I have ever made. However, I think it turned out amazing and Bailey looks absolutely stunning in it.

Anna Maria Horner has a super cute (and FREE) skirt pattern. Here is my spring version made out of new Liberty fabric I purchased at Fancy Tiger. Also, I had to share a photo of our new (used) coffee table. It is vintage modern, probably from the 60′s, and made in India. I love it.

I love Sew Liberated’s Schoolhouse Tunic pattern. I teach others how to make them at Fancy Tiger and even give them as gifts!
