Designer Anna Maria Horner’s fabrics are to die for! When I saw the Museum Dress she made for herself from the Square Dance fabric I had to have one too. Here is my version. With the left over fabric I made my little Willow a matching skirt and coin purse. I found a great tutorial [...]

I loved Holly Hobbie when I was five years old. I had an assortment of clothing, toys, dolls and collectibles that my mom and other family members gave me. I came across this vintage Simplicity pattern circa 1973 for a Holly Hobbie inspired prairie dress.
My mom had made me an outfit from this exact [...]

I took inspiration from this incredible mama and turned one of Mira’s drawings of herself into a plushie doll for her to play with. Mira did all the stuffing and chose the fabrics. She also drew a picture of Willow and we are working on a doll for her too. It was so much fun!

Mira has a very special friend at school named Koa. She loves him. For his birthday we made him a Super Koa cape.

I should be watching what I eat since I [...]

Mira is watercolor painting with leaves collected from our neighborhood.
I love this picture that Mira drew. I am thinking about printing it onto fabric paper and using it in a new dress for her.
This years pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. A yearly school field trip.

I have not given up on DIY fashion design. I know I said I would post every Friday, but I just haven’t had the time to take and upload the photos of my progress. I have purchased sketch books and actually started sketching in one of them. For my larger, less portable, book I got [...]

Remember this doll from July? Well, I have been very busy this week making four more Travel Dolls. These little sweeties are ready for adventure and have the wardrobe to go with it. Oh, and just in case they get sleepy during their travels, there is a built in pillow for naps on the go!
