The house and all of it’s belongings were for sale. It was the home of a former home economics teacher at a local middle school. I was in heaven!

Here is the amazing vintage home ec recipe box. Each card is typed out and sorted by categories. The daughter of the homeowner/teacher said it was one of the class samples and a well loved kitchen item. I will treasure it!

It is by far my favorite holiday of the year. I mostly see it as a celebration of Spring and renewal. I hosted a family brunch this year and we had a wonderful time sharing food, love and the wonder of a holiday with my two girls. They were all about the Easter Bunny this year. 

I felted an old sweater and made little chickens for my girls. Also, I used some old pieces of a vintage chenille blanket and made bunnies for each of them.

Their names are Olive, Hazel, Parsley, Dosa and Samosa. We hope to move them out to their new coop and run in the next couple weeks. I will be happy when that day comes, because right now they are living in my sewing room!
